What Statra stores, why, and what it will never do with it.
Last updated 7 August 2026
The short version. A player on a roster is a jersey number and, usually, a name. Statra does not ask for a child's date of birth, address, photograph, email or phone number, because keeping a scorebook does not require any of them. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we do not track anybody's location.
Statra is operated by Statra, a d/b/a of Jeffrey Kiyomura ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Statra mobile app and statrasports.com.
What we store
Your account
Your name and email address, so you can sign in and so teammates can tell who you are. If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive whatever that service returns — normally a name and an email — and nothing else. We never receive your password.
Teams, games and statistics
Team and club names, schedules, venues, and the play-by-play a scorekeeper records: makes, misses, rebounds, fouls, substitutions, and the times they happened.
Players on a roster
| Stored | Not stored |
|---|---|
| Jersey number | Date of birth |
| Name — optional; jersey-only rosters work | Home address, phone number, email |
| Which team they belong to | Photographs or video |
| Their statistics | Anything about health, school or family |
That right-hand column is enforced by the database, not by policy: there are no columns for those things. A player is not a user account and cannot sign in.
Your device, if you turn on notifications
A push token from Apple or Google, your device's model name, and its time zone. The time zone exists for one reason: so a notification about a late game arrives in your evening rather than a server's. Turn notifications off and the token is released.
Payment
If your club buys seats, Stripe processes the payment. Card and bank details go directly to Stripe and never touch Statra's servers — we store only Stripe's identifier for your club, how many seats you bought, and whether the plan is current.
Children
You must be 13 or older to hold a Statra account. Accounts are for coaches, club staff, parents and older players.
A child under 13 may nevertheless appear in Statra, because a coach entering a roster types a jersey number and a name. That is the coach acting on behalf of the team, and it is the same information printed in a gym programme. We collect nothing else about that child, and the child holds no account.
Teams are treated as under-13 by default unless somebody states otherwise, and that default governs what can be shown publicly. A missing declaration is never read as permission to publish.
If you are a parent or guardian and want a child's name removed from a roster, ask the team's coach — they can remove or anonymise it immediately. If that does not resolve it, write to us and we will.
Who else processes it
We use these services to run Statra. Each receives only what its job requires.
| Service | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Neon | The database — accounts, teams, rosters, statistics |
| Vercel | Hosting and request logs |
| PowerSync | Syncing your device with the database |
| Stripe | Payments and invoices. Card details go here, not to us |
| Expo | Delivering push notifications to your device |
| Resend | Sign-in codes and account email |
| Apple, Google | Sign-in, if you choose it, and notification delivery |
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on the Statra site or in the app.
Keeping data on your device
Statra is built to work in a gym with no signal, so your teams, rosters and the game you are scoring are stored on your phone and synced when a connection returns. You only ever receive data for teams and games you belong to. Signing out or deleting the app removes the local copy.
How long we keep it
Team and game records stay until the team or club deletes them — a season's statistics are the point of the product, so we do not expire them on a timer. Delete your account and we remove your personal details; games you scored remain with the team that owns them, because they are the team's record rather than yours.
What you can ask for
- A copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction of anything wrong
- Deletion of your account and personal details
- Removal of a child's name from a roster
Write to privacy@statrasports.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly and we will not treat you differently for using them.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Data is encrypted at rest by our database provider. Access to a team's information is decided by your role on that team and enforced on the server, not merely hidden in the app. No system is perfect, and we would rather say that than claim otherwise.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
